Dr Hermann Papouschek | Chief Project Manager, Vienna Central Station

After many years spent in the private sector, Hermann Papouschek, born in 1962, started working for Vienna City Administration in 1994, where he served in different positions within Municipal Department 45 - Water Management (MA 45).
Before transferring to Vienna Urban Planning Directorate – Vienna Main Train Station Project Management Department in 2009, he was head of Vienna Flood Protection Service. From 2009 to 2011, Papouschek was responsible for project management and control within the project management department. In autumn 2011, he started managing the Main Train Station Project.
As of December 2013, Papouschek is head of Municipal Department 29 – Bridge Construction and Foundation Engineering, overseeing more than 800 bridge structures in Vienna, among other things. The Vienna native studied cultivation and water management technology at the University of Natural Resources in Vienna.
