Koce Trajanovski | Mayor of Skopje

Mr. Trajanovski was born in Skoplje and graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in 1980. He started his professional career as the Head of the Computer centre in MZT HEPOS and later founded his own computer software company for integration information systems.

From 2002 to 2005 he was the Mayor of Gazi Baba, a municipality in Skoplje, and during his mandate he realized a number of major projects and international contacts with the countries from the region. Also, he successfully contributed to strengthening the local self-government which gave him the opportunity to be a candidate for the Mayor of the City of Skopje on the latest local elections in Macedonia in spring 2009. He won on these elections. In April 2013 he was re-elected a Mayor of the City of Skopje. He is also the current President of ZELS (Association of the Units of Local-Self-Government in Macedonia, member of the General Assembly of NALAS (Association of National Local Authorities in South-eastern Europe), member of the National Committee for EU and other bodies.
