Slavoljub Stijepović | Mayor of Podgorica

Mr. Stijepović was born in Podgorica in 1959. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and took the bar exam. From 1984 to 1991 he worked in company Prvoborac in the field of legal affairs. In 1991 he became Assistant Minister of Labor and Social Care, and in 1996 he started engagement in the Government of Montenegro as Minister without Portfolio. In the period from 1998 to 2012 he was engaged as the minister in the Government of Montenegro, in various fields – sports, labor and social care, education and science. From 2001 to 2003 he was the Secretary of the Republic Sports Secretariat. He was also the Vice President of the Constitutional Assembly of Montenegro. He was elected the Mayor of Podgorica in 2014.
